1.Did you know owls are sometimes a symbol of learning? Libraries and bookstores sometimes use pictures of owls to represent reading or wisdom. Maybe this is because owls can see in the dark, detecting things that others can’t see. They are silent, quick and keep to themselves. They sometimes have a watchful, thoughtful look.

2.Owls can’t really read, but they are smart. They hunt for mice, lizards and other small animals at night. Owls have soft feathers to keep them warm. You might miss their soft hooting noise if you’re not listening carefully.

3.Barn owls mate for life. They cuddle with their mates and babies. When one mate dies, the other one becomes depressed and might even die too.

• Owls can’t move their eyes. They must turn their heads to see.

• Over 200 types of owls live on the earth.

• Owls can turn their heads almost completely around.

• Owls spit up pellets that contain the bones and fur of their prey.

4.Ospreys build large nests from sticks. The nests sit atop telephone poles, docks or trees. Ospreys lay between one and five eggs at one time. The eggs don’t hatch all at once though. The first egg hatches a few days before the last. The oldest and biggest chick bosses the other chicks around.

Looking for the lost statue of Easter island

One dark time underwater I was exploring the underwater seas with my friends Hugo and Nixon through the waters of  Easter island.

We were swimming and swimming through the water and then we saw three big sharks roaming through the water and they thought we were fish, then Hugo threw a fish far into the water and one of them went for it but 2 others didn´t. Joshua hit a rock and started bleeding. The sharks were getting ready to charge at us but we got to land. Nixon and Joshua were getting hungry, Hugo was not but we were all tired so and there is sharks in the water so none of us can go in but we found 8 cows, then we got our spears and killed , we got to the camp and cooked the meat we got some bread and made steak sandwiches. This helped us to get our energy back and the sharks swam away we jumped back into the water and we swam really far in the water and found a Easter island statue. We did not have any water proof things, but we got back to land and started walking for a exercise. Next Hugo found 3 axes and a 5 meter rope so we started chopping down trees. We carried them to the water and put the rope together and tied it up with the rope and built a raft and we were free back to New Zealand.

 I ripped open an envelope and it read BANANA RAIN WITH MEATBALL SPAGHETTI TORNADO GO ON THE NEWS!!!¨I don't have a TV so I can't watch the news and the closest store with technology is 456miles away and I don't have, enough money to buy one so I not going to worry about it .Wait  what  another letter what's, this one about.THE SPAGHETTI MEATBALL TORNADO AND THE RAINING BANANAS ARE COMING FROM THE NORTH WEST.¨I live on the  north east side of the USA.(9 days later). ¨It was not a spaghetti meatball tornado and banana rain.It was a zombie, apocalypse why!Now I'm homeless with a broken cricket bat, and I need to find a building that safe and to get, a padlock from the locker store in town and now I'm off,¨(7 hours later)¨OK now I am in town so now where's, the locker store?(1 minute later) here it is ok here it now time to find a safe building I can padlock up(3 minutes later)Are perfect, now get my padlock here it is and the key yes now time to go inside and padlock this door OK perfect, now i´m safe now I, will find the bed a here it is a comfy¨

The trip ferry mead

kia ora. On Wednesday room 5\6 went to ferry mead and learnt about the 1900s 100 years ago. I started at school because I was late because I had a meeting for an hour, then after the meeting my mum drove me to ferry mead and walked me in and I found my group and I went to school, general store, house, jail, bakery and tram. At the end we were waiting for the bus, we were at the 1900s fire station and then my group spotted the bus parked some where else so we started going over there with the other groups and we got in the bus and played on the seats and the we got to school some people said there favourite parts and then school ended after and every one was leaving school.
